Need to make a claim? No problem, after all, that’s why you bought insurance from AXA. Here are some helpful Do's and Dont's when it comes to claiming-
Motor Insurance Claims - Do's and Dont's
- DO make sure no one is injured. If you have any doubts ring 999.
- DO get the registration numbers of the other vehicle(s) involved.
- DO get the insurance details (insurer and policy number) from their insurance disc(s).
- DO get the phone numbers of the other people involved.
- DO try to take some photos of the scene using your mobile phone (from a safe place).
- DO ring AXA on 1890 247365 as soon as possible.
- DON'T admit liability, even if you think the accident is your fault.
- DON'T sign any statements or other documents the other people may have prepared.
- DON'T move your vehicle until it is safe and legal to do so.
- DON'T forget to ring us first regarding repairs to your own vehicle, it could save you money.

Home Insurance Claims - Do's and Dont's
- DO put your personal safety first at all times.
- DO contact a plumber or builder if you need emergency repairs (in the event of water damage or a break-in)
- DO move soft furnishings or carpets to higher ground (in the event of water damage)
- DO try to take some photos of the scene using your mobile phone (from a safe place).
- DO put yourself in the hands of experts who are on your side. Ring AXA on 1890 24 7 365.
- DON'T arrange for non-emergency repairs without checking with AXA first.
- DON'T engage any builders to start any structural repairs without our agreement.
- DON'T dispose of any damaged property until we have had the chance to examine it.
- DON'T throw away any paper work, you'll need this to support your claim.

How to make a claim when you're abroad
Claim when abroad
