What is a cover limit?

When you insure your buildings, you will be asked to provide a cover limit. This can be confusing as most homeowners give the market value of the property, and as a result could end up paying a higher premium.

The cover limit is the amount it would cost to rebuild your home if there was a serious incident. This is not the market value of your home, and doesn’t include the price of the land that your home is on. Get an accurate calculation of your cover limit here.
