Windscreen cover is included in AXA’s comprehensive car insurance policies, so if you have comprehensive car insurance with AXA and you need to claim for windscreen replacement, it will not affect your no claims bonus.
If your windscreen is cracked, chipped or shattered and you need a windscreen replacement, you should check your insurance policy to ensure that you are covered for windscreen replacement.
How do I claim a windscreen replacement?
Once you have checked that your policy includes cover for windscreen replacement, you can simply contact our claims team by calling 0818 7 365 24 to make your claim.
Please be mindful that your windscreen claim must be verified by us before any repair or replacement is carried out.
Where should I get my windscreen repaired?
If you use an AXA-approved repairer to replace your windscreen, your cover is unlimited (subject to terms and conditions). However, if you use your own repairer, your cover will be limited to €400 for a replacement and €50 for a repair. So, it’s best to use an AXA-approved repairer so that you’re fully covered.
Please also be aware that we are not liable for any additional cost incurred for replacing non-standard glass or importing glass or parts from outside the EU.
Are my car windows also covered?
Both your car windscreen and windows are covered under an AXA comprehensive car insurance policy. However, we do not cover your vehicle for broken or damaged glass in your vehicle’s mirrors, sunroofs or panoramic glass roofs.
