Is car insurance for women cheaper?
Before 2012, women drivers could find cheaper car insurance because they were considered as safer drivers than men. However, the European Court of Justice found that charging women less for their car insurance was in breach of gender equality.
Following European Commission rules on gender discrimination, EU car insurance prices can’t be different for men and women. So when we calculate your car insurance premium, women and men fall under the same criteria.
